Sherlock Holmes, Benedict Cumberbatch

Merry Christmas! Oh, and an incredibly happy new year.

A newish trailer for the hotly anticipated, desperately awaited (etc.) Sherlock Christmas special is quite similar to the last 90-second teaser—but it includes two rather important pieces of information, other than the fact that, the bigger the mustache, somehow the younger Martin Freeman looks, and Benedict Cumberbatch was made to wear a deerstalker.

No, the trailer reveals the title of the special and...wait for it...when you can actually see it!

"The Abominable Bride," set in the O.G. Sherlock Holmes Victorian era,  premieres both in the U.K. and the U.S. on...

Jan. 1! 2016! (Wouldn't it have been awful if it for some reason wasn't 2016?)

The special, which intends to provide a bit of sustenance for the fans who are hungering for Sherlock season four, will air on the U.K.'s BBC One and, here in the States, on PBS' Masterpiece Mystery.

And while the holidays (Christmas, Hanukkah, Boxing Day...) will technically be Sherlockless, at least now you know that, whatever happens New Year's Eve, you're going to wake up happy.
