InstagramRumors swirled that Bill Murray and Jenny Lewis could be Hollywood's hot new couple, but sadly it isn't true.
Sources confirm to E! News that the Rock the Kasbah actor and the Rilo Kiley singer are not dating. "It's not true," a source reveals. "They're just friends." Page Six reported that the A-list actor and the musician were an item after he took her to a party he hosted in honor of his new movie's release, calling her his "current younger love interest."
But another insider tells us that they're "just friends" and they also "never travel romantically with each other."
Even though these two aren't an item, Murray isn't alone! He has been married twice, first to Margaret Kelly and then to Jennifer Butler. He has six children. Murray opened up about his dating life on Jimmy Kimmel Live! last October and revealed that he was doing just fine on the dating front and probably didn't need help from dating apps.
"I think [Tinder] could be amusing," he explained to host Jimmy Kimmel. "But I can't imagine doing it particularly."
He also happily confessed that he has no problem connecting with others. "I feel like I've lived that life, and I can live that life at any moment," he shared, before playfully hitting on a cameraman in the audience.
Murray has had an awfully busy year, filming and promoting the Zooey Deschanel co-starring film, as well as creating his new Netflix special, A Very Murray Christmas, which was written by Sofia Coppola, Murray and Mitch Glazer. Coppola also directed the special, which makes this the second time she and Murray have worked together! They previously teamed up for 2003's Lost in Translation.
The star will play himself in the special, which sees the star worrying nobody will show up to his TV special because of the snow storm in New York City. "Through luck and perseverance, guests arrive at the Carlyle hotel to help him; dancing and singing in holiday spirit," Netflix said in a release.
