As her fans well know, there really doesn't need to be a specific reason to celebrate Carrie Fisher.

It's all day, every day on Twitter for the biggest Star Wars junkies, and with the emotional roller coaster that was the Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer fresh in everyone's minds, combined with the fact that Fisher's 59th birthday is today...

Well, it's time to commemorate the fierce, funny actress-writer-humorist with a little something special. Here are seven times The Force was totally with Carrie Fisher (aside from her epic turn in the gold bikini):

Lucasfilm/20th Century Fox

1. When she got a little tired of Han Solo calling her "Your Worship," though he was actually worshipping her and didn't even realize it yet.

2. When she totally zinged Han Solo in front of her brother. (P.S. We must bring back "laser brain" as a common epithet by the time The Force awakens on Dec. 18.)

3. When she blew Han Solo's mind with this kiss: Just by the look on his face, you can tell how sprung he was on Princess Leia.

4. When she analyzed her Star Wars role in her one-woman show Wishful Drinking: "George Lucas ruined my life," she deadpanned, two big Leia buns having magically appeared on her head.

5. When she broke out her man-Rolodex in When Harry Met Sally: Let's put aside the late-'80s nostalgia factor (a Rolodex!) for a moment while we note that, in her quest to set Meg Ryan's Sally up after a breakup, she learns one of the eligible males is actually married and, instead of throwing the card away, she folds down the corner, her own little code. That scene would not have been nearly as hilarious if performed with an iPhone.

6. When she honored her mom wearing these glasses and simultaneously conveyed the love-hate relationship she and Debbie Reynolds have had for the past five decades in 30 seconds of facial expressions.

7. When she and Harrison Ford sent hearts racing anew in The Force Awakens trailer. Looks like Carrie Fisher's sex symbol status remains ever-secure as she heads toward 60.

A very happy birthday to the iconic star!
