Star Wars' biggest fans may also be its biggest stars.

When the fourth and final trailer for the latest installment of the sci-fi franchise, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, debuted on screens nationwide during Monday Night Football, fans simply could not contain themselves. Fans were so overwhelmed, they crashed ticket purchase websites and racked up 17,000 tweets per minute on Twitter raving about the latest glimpse at the highly-anticipated film.

In the teaser for the seventh episode of the series, directed by J.J. Abrams, audiences got fresh glimpses at the film's newest characters like Finn and Rey, as well as beloved staple figures like Han Solo, played by none other than Harrison Ford

Daisy Ridley and John Boyega were among the throngs of enthusiasts anxiously awaiting the release.

Ridley's dedication to her most recent film venture was unwavering—the actress, who was cast as the leading character Rey, even set an alarm to be wide awake when the video dropped.

"Staying in a little b'n'b with my friend... Set an alarm to watch the trailer... My friend filmed my reaction," she described her Instagram video. "Totally emotional seeing it for the first time and so so so incredibly awed to be part of this incredible legacy #starwars #theforceawakens."

Smiling at first, the 23-year-old British actress later broke out into tears of happiness as she watched her performance in the breakout role unfold.

Boyega was similarly overwhelmed with emotion when he first screened the less than two and a half minute trailer. However, instead of crying, he sat entranced by the screen nodding his head and saying "Yup" over and over again. Then, as the trailer peaked in its first major moment of action, the 23-year-old British actor playing Finn leapt over his couch and fell on the floor as he shrieked in excitement.

"THE TRAILER IS JUST EEEEPPPPPPPIIIIICCCCCCC! Star Wars is back! gaaaaaad laaaaard! You know what! Let me just relax because this kind God oooo! Lmao!" he wrote on his Instagram. "Seriously congrats to everyone ! December 18th!"

We guess he's just a little excited.

The film hits theaters nationwide on Dec. 18.
