No, your eyes are not deceiving you: That actually was Kesha playing Jane's neighbor in Monday's episode of Jane the Virgin. Yes, that Kesha! No dollar sign any more. Blonde hair. Same awesome pop star attitude.
Okay, so admittedly the part of a wannabe rock star isn't exactly a stretch for the No. 1-selling singer, who causes some trouble for Jane (Gina Rodriguez) and baby Mateo as new next-door neighbor Annable. In the episode, Annabelle and her bandmate move next door to the new mom, but don't really seem to have any regard for the newborn baby's sleep schedule when they decided to hold band practice at all hours of the night.
Of course, the grass isn't always greener, considering Mateo wakes the girls up with his cries every morning at 6 a.m.—not exactly when the rockers are trying to set their alarm clocks.

"We are so thrilled Kesha will be appearing on Jane," executive producer Jennie Snyder Urman said in a statement when the news of the singer-turned-actress' appearance was revealed. "We are all huge fans of hers, and we are so excited to welcome her to the Jane the Virgin family."
Kesha (real name: Kesha Rose Sebert) is not the first musician to stop by the JTV set—Gloria Estefan memorably appeared in season one, while Britney Spears is set to appear as herself in the fifth episode of season two.
Jane the Virgin airs Monday nights at 9 p.m. on The CW.
