If there was one member of the Real Housewives of Orange County cast who created more questions than answers this year, it was Brooks Ayers.

Throughout the season, fans were constantly left wondering why he broke up with castmember Vicki Gunvalson and if he really had cancer.

During part one of our exclusive sit-down interview, Ayers tried his best to answer some of the most perplexing questions that Bravo viewers have.

"Absolutely I'm sticking by that," Ayers shared with Melanie Bromley when confirming his cancer battle. "Unfortunately, I wish it wasn't true. It would be a lot easier if I didn't have cancer just to be honest with you. The daily grind, the routines of reminding yourself that I'm sick and I need to do certain things and not do certain things."

Throughout the season, Gunvalson was adamant that her boyfriend was not making any storyline up. She even risked long-term friendships when defending her man against serious allegations.

Unfortunately, fans grew more suspicious of Ayers' diagnosis once he broke up with Gunvalson when the season was airing.

"We made the decision that we probably weren't going to be forever," he disclosed. "Given the fact that Tamra [Judge] made the comments that she did after season 9 that this was going to be Vicki's year in the ‘box' so to speak, it made me an easy target."

While they tried counseling, it wasn't enough to repair a relationship that ultimately lasted four years. Today, Ayers continues his health battle while also meeting new single ladies.

"I am [dating]. Vicki is as well. It could be very serious," he shared. "I'm just living life with a lot less drama from that perspective."

And for those still wondering if Gunvalson is the real deal on and off camera, you have to watch the video above to find out!
