There's a lot of exciting things happening this fine Friday thanks to DNCE's new music video for "Cake by the Ocean."

Not only is this Joe Jonas' first music video with his new band, but it also marks Gigi Hadid's directorial debut!

"She's always had a high creative eye so she came up with concept and we rolled with it," Jonas told Entertainment Weekly of his girlfriend, who co-directed the vid with The Black Coffee. "She was a good boss."

The video is a very literal take on the track as it features a massive Victoria sponge cake—you guessed it—right on the beach. The cake becomes the main feature in the "First Annual International Cake Fight Championships," which pins Josh "The Fat Few" Ostrovsky in his man-kini against a group of bikini-clad women.

Given Hadid's recent open letter to her body shamers, it's worth noting that the team of women includes a vast array of body types who look amazing even after getting completely covered in frosting.

The video also includes a group of buff male cheerleaders, White Girl Rosé and lots of blatant promotion for the new dating app Bumble.

In the midst of all this, Jonas and his band mates—JinJoo Lee, Cole Whittle and Jack Lawless—sing along on a stage, jumping around and laughing as the competition ensues. At one point, The Fat Jew and some of the bikini babes jump up and join in with them.

"It came together really quickly," Jonas told EW of the video. "We're really excited about it because it's just something that I think is wacky and fun."

As for all the leftover cake?  They ended up eating it…right off the sand!
