Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have us hooked.

The two look absolutely beautiful in By the Sea, their new drama that Angelina also wrote and directed about a couple whose marriage appears to be on the rocks as they travel through France in the mid-1970s.

In a new featurette about the film released earlier today, Brad and Angelina open about love. Both laugh after the Girl, Interrupted Oscar winner opines, "Everybody knows there is never just the tragedy of life, or the humor of life or pure joy of life. Relationships have those extremes. You can absolutely madly love the same person you want to kill."

Brad says of the movie, "It's the puzzle of figuring out those things that get in the way of really loving someone. A lot of it is the past; a lot of it is your own insecurities. A lot of it is wanting someone so much, you focus too much on losing it."

Angelina admits she never thought her script would make it to the big screen: "When I was writing it I never assumed we'd actually do it, so i wrote with a certain kind of freedom."

"We can experiment and play and it's oddly a safer environment than any set I've ever been on before so we let loose," Brad says.

They sure did. Behind the scenes footage shows their kids Shiloh and Knox playing on set.

We even see Jolie directing Brad as he lies on a bed. They're also shown making goofy face at each other.

At one point, Brad is heard off camera saying, "I'm blowing you a kiss." While putting on fake eyelashes, Angelina answers him, "I'm blowing you one back."

Angelina also appears on the new cover of Vogue. She told the magazine, "Brad and I have our issues. But if the characters were even remotely close to our problems, we couldn't have made the film."

The world premiere of By the Sea will open AFI Fest on Nov. 5 in Hollywood. The film is in theaters Nov. 13.
