Hours after Kobe Bryant spoke out on Twitter, Master P has clarified his controversial comments with regards to Lamar Odom's hospitalization

The 48-year-old rapper made headlines when he seemingly criticized the Lakers star, as well as others who rushed to Odom's side as Khloe Kardashian's ex remains in a Las Vegas hospital following a drug overdose in a Nevada brothel, where he was found unconscious on Tuesday.

Now, Master P says his opinion has been blown "out of proportion," and he took to Instagram to further explain his point of view.

"My prayers are going out to Lamar and his family. I pray that he comes out of this, he may have a rocky past but overall he's a good brother," he wrote earlier today. "And the only reason I'm not running to the hospital to visit him, I'm not looking for publicity, I don't need it.

"Only when I was asked, I stated my opinion on what I knew about this man from the times I was around him," he continued. "Lamar complained about how everybody turned their backs on him, even his nba buddies. But then people blew my opinion out of proportion. I understand that Kobe is one of the greatest basketball players in the world and people are going to side with him."

He concluded by adding, "I have nothing against Kobe or the Lakers. I have nothing to hide and I'm willing to speak face to face."

Bryant, meanwhile, has not responded to Master P's latest remarks. The basketball star broke his silence on Odom's hospitalization yesterday afternoon, and he has not tweeted since.

In an interview earlier this week with TMZ, Master P implied that Bryant could have done something to save Lamar.

"If Kobe was his friend  ... Kobe, like, owns the team. He could've got the man back on the team ... that's all he wanted," the record producer said.
