Kobe Bryant Breaks Silence About Lamar Odom's Hospitalization, Slams Public Criticism

"We must question the kind of culture we have created that has led us to such insensitive suspicion," the NBA star wrote

Kobe Bryant doesn't have the energy to deal with negativity and criticism at a time like this.

The Los Angeles Lakers star broke his silence today concerning the tragic event revolving around his friend and former teammate Lamar Odom by writing a powerful message about the critics questioning the sincerity of his support for LO at this time.

"When we feel the need to question the support of others in moments as critical as a life hanging in the balance, then we must question the kind of culture we have created that has led us to such insensitive suspicion," Bryant posted on Twitter, with the hashtag "#JustPray."

The Black Mamba didn't call anyone out by name, but the timing of his post suggests that he may be referencing Master P. The rapper got fired up in a TMZ video that surfaced earlier, where he began slamming Bryant for displaying (what he felt was an act) of emotion over Lamar's hospitalization.

"If Kobe was his friend  ... Kobe, like, owns the team. He could've got the man back on the team ... that's all he wanted," Master P said.

As we previously reported, Bryant rushed to join Khloe Kardashian at Odom's bedside on Tuesday evening after leaving a Los Angeles Lakers game in Las Vegas early for "personal reasons." The basketball player was seen entering the hospital late Tuesday evening and leaving hours later with Lakers' general manager Mitch Kupchak.

Many of Odom's former Lakers teammates as well as a handful of NBA players have turned to social media to wish him the best and pray for his recovery. Bryant's wife, Vanessa, also took to Instagram when the news surfaced, posting a throwback photo of Lamar rocking the purple and gold on court and writing a sweet message.

"Prayers going out to @lamarodom and his family. Praying he gets through this. #LakerFam At the end of the day, he has a family and loved ones that care for him. People shouldn't be posting/reposting that he is deceased when it isn't true. Just imagine what his loved ones must feel like to receive such terrible news," she wrote."
