Ben Affleck looked very different Tuesday while attending a screening of the film Beasts of No Nation in Los Angeles. What made him stand out so much? He shaved! Towering over John Legend, Affleck and his muscular build revealed a fresh face at the event, which made his friend look even smaller LOL.
Now beardless after what seems like years with the full-blown scruff—OK, it made its debut in June—Affleck somehow looks like a weight has been lifted—probably because he lost a few pounds of hair after shaving. But seriously, he donned the facial hair throughout the trials and tribulations of his marriage this summer, so seeing him without it almost represents a "moving forward" message.
Perhaps his all-black ensemble is an homage to his beard, but we may never know. Goodbye, wonderful facial hair. Hello, clean shave.
Jennifer Garner and Affleck have made it perfectly clear that neither harbors ill will toward each other after Nannygate AKA the time now former-nanny Christine Ouzounian entered the picture. Instead, they're focusing on co-parenting their three children to the best of their abilities.
"It's not as fresh in her mind and some of the shock has worn off," one pal told E! News of Garner's ability to move on. "She will never forget about it, but she's also not harping on it every day."
That being said, another source close to the duo added, "There are still a lot of issues, but she has put them aside for the sake of the her family."
"She has not forgiven him for things that have happened, but she's committed to keeping her children happy," the source revealed. "But that sometimes means doing what she would rather not do."
