Can you believe it's been over 30 years since Family Ties first premiered?!

The hit sitcom, which aired from 1982 to 1989 and starred Michael J. Fox, Meredith Baxter, Michael Gross, Tina Yothers and Justin Bateman, to name a few, is taking a cue from the Internet's love of nostalgia, as the beloved cast has reunited for a feature in Entertainment Weekly as part of the publication's annual reunion issue.

The piece, which hits newstands Friday, features Fox (Alex Keaton), Gross (Steven Keaten), Baxter (Elyse Keaton), Yothers (Jennifer Keaton) and Bateman (Mallory Keaton), as well as Fox's wife Tracy Pollan (Ellen Reed), who all spoke about the show's lasting legacy in an accompanying interview.

"We cared a lot about each other as performers. There was a lot of respect and there was an awful lot of affection and I think that translated. And they wrote so beautifully for us," Baxter, 68, said when asked why the sitcom is so beloved to fans.

"It appealed to two different generations equally, which is an unusual thing," Pollan, 55, added.

Likewise, Bateman, 49, noted that the show gave viewers an escape and made them feel like they were a part of the Keaton family.

"I've seen people write that it was a comfort…they could pretend they were part of that family and they could count on that being there no matter what was going on in their life," she shared.

The co-stars were also asked who they would cast as their characters if the show was rebooted today.

"I'd say Kristen Stewart for Mallory, like really go in the opposite direction, see what happens," Bateman replied.

"I always think for Steven someone mellow like Colin Hanks," Gross, 68, said before Fox quipped, "Justin Bieber."
