Michael Fassbender is a man of his word.

Just days after he told Kate Winslet he would get her a pressure cooker for her 40th birthday, he made good on his promise.

"He got me a pressure cooker," Winslet, whose birthday is today, told E! News at the New York Film Festival screening of their new movie Steve Jobs (in theaters Oct. 9). "What happened was we were about to leave the house to go to the airport and this box arrived and I was like, 'Ah, we're about to leave the house.' But it was this huge box and I was like, 'What the heck is going on?'

"Then I see on the side of it, it says Tefal," she said, referring to the cookware brand. "I was like, 'Ah, Tefal,' and then I opened it. He's a good boy. He got me the pressure cooker."

And Fassbender did his research. "It was down to three," he told E! News. "I'm happy with the choice."

Winslet exclusively revealed to E! News while promoting Steve Jobs in London that said she wanted a pressure cooker so she can make bone broths. Fassbender said he'd buy her one if she'd cook him some of the soup.

Winslet also said of birthday plans, "I'm going to look amazing and I'm going to celebrate in style."

Happy birthday, Kate!
