Liam Hemsworth is ready to make his Muppets debut.
After much speculation that the Hunger Games heartthrob might be stopping by the new hit ABC comedy as a potential love interest for the freshly single Miss Piggy, this first look at Hemsworth's guest spot, exclusive to E! News, reveals that he's on hand to help everyone's favorite weirdo Gonzo in the love department—only after being tricked by him and his buddies Pepe the Prawn and Rizzo the Rat, that is.
"This poor...whatever he is, if he doesn't get this woman, he doesn't have a reason to live," Pepe pleads with Hemsworth as the hunk threatens to leave.
Eventually, Hemsworth comes around, admitting he's been in lovesick Gonzo's shoes more than once. "You were probably one of those awkward kids who had trouble with the ladies until you grew into your looks," Rizzo says.
Liam deadpans: "No, I've been gorgeous since birth, but I have struck out a few times. Just at a super-high level."
You'll have to press play on the video above to see just what kind cockamamie scheme Gonzo and his pals have whipped up for Hemsworth to help him win over his online dating dreamgirl, Debbie. But trust us when we say: It's bound to backfire.
Hemsworth's storyline may come as a surprise to some fans who were hoping he'd sweep a particular pig off her feet. When the actor joined Instagram this past summer, his first photo was one of him and Miss Piggy looking into one another's eyes with the caption, "Spent Friday with the most beautiful girl in the world. Kermit, #SorryNotSorry. #TheMuppets #misspiggy." Looks like that love connection was strictly an off-camera situation.
