The wait is over!

Dove Cameron and Ryan McCartan have been filming YouTube covers for quite some time, and at midnight Friday, the duo released the music video for their first original song, "Written in the Stars." The Disney Channel stars—who, unlike their characters on Liv and Maddie, are still a couple—confirmed Wednesday that they are going to be called The Girl and the Dreamcatcher.

"Sometimes we're going to abbreviate it, because The Girl and the Dreamcatcher is a long name," McCarten said in a YouTube video. "Sometimes it's going to be GDC." Cameron added that "sometimes it's gonna be TGATDC." They also renamed their YouTube account, changing Dove and Ryan to The Girl and the Dreamcatcher, and made their previously secret social media accounts public.

Cameron and McCartan debuted the song on Radio Disney Thursday.

Colton Tran directed the "Written in the Stars" music video.

"We're really proud of it," Cameron said. "We're really, really proud of it."

Cameron, 19, and McCartan, 22, have been dating since 2013.

In May, Cameron recalled their first kiss. "We went to this park, because he's just like Romeo, and he was just like—I'm so grossed out by how cute he is—but he picked me up one day from my apartment. He had a car and he was a hot older boy. This was back before we were like really, really dating. We were just sort of seeing what happened. He took me to this park underneath a tree at sunset. He brought this guitar and he was like, 'Do you wanna come write songs with me in the park?' I was like, 'OK!...You're what movies are about!' I was sitting there fan-girling over who he was as a person...He was sitting under the tree playing his guitar. I've written songs before, but he was like, 'What do you think should come next?' I was like, 'What do you think should come next?' He was like, 'You're not helping.'"

At one point, the Descendants star explained in her Fanlala interview, "I leaned in to kiss him on the cheek, and he turned his head really quickly and kissed me, because he knew that I was too shy to just kiss him. So, he like tricked me into it...I don't remember this—because in my mind it was magic and sparkles—but I apparently turned away and squealed and turned bright red."

"I was 17! I was not 11!" she added. "But I was like, 'Ahh!'"

Cameron said she was "really embarrassed" by how she reacted to his kiss. "He said that was the moment that he knew that he was going to have feelings for me for a long time. He was like, 'I totally fell for you when you freaked out when I kissed you.' He tells that story a lot better than I do because I make myself sound like a gremlin and he makes it sound really cute."
