UPDATE: The Sheriff's Department later revised the number of fatalities to 10, including the 20-year-old shooter. The list of wounded was also reduced to seven from the earlier report of at least 20 injured. Authorities attributed the earlier inflated numbers to casualties being counted twice amid all the chaos and confusion.

Another senseless tragedy, this one coming out of Oregon.

Thirteen people have been reported dead and at least another 20 were injured in a mass shooting at Umpqua Community College in Roseburg, Ore., according to multiple reports coming from the scene. The shootings were first called in at 10:38 a.m. PT.

Per NBC News, the gunman is among the dead, having been killed in a firefight with Douglas County Sheriff's deputies, according to Sheriff John Hanlin. State Attorney General Ellen Rosenblum previously told NBC that the assailant has been "neutralized."

"We have received 9 patients from the UCC tragedy and 3 more enroute. Please continue to pray," read a tweet from Mercy Medical Center, which is in Roseburg. "We heard that UCC sending non injured staff and students to the Douglas county fairgrounds."
