In case you haven't noticed, it's the first of October and that means life can truly begin! Yeah, the first day of fall was Sept. 23, but we all know no one really feels like it's pumpkin season until the calendar flips to Oct. 1.

It's the month of Halloween! It's the month to go pumpkin picking and Halloween costume shopping! It's when the air gets chillier and you can bust out those chunky sweaters and boots and beanies. Unless like us you live in California, but damn it, we will wear sweaters with shorts and boots with skirts and beanies with tank tops! You can't keep us from dressing like it's 50 degrees even though it's nearly 90!

For some people, October 1 is just the start of a new month. For others, it's the start of a new season—nay, a new life. C'mon, of all the trending on topics #ITSOCTOBER is the only hashtag in ALL CAPS. That pretty much says it all.

Happy October, goblins and ghouls! We'll meet you in the candy aisle where we'll be loading up on giant bags of mini Snickers. No one can judge us eating the entire bag ourselves because it's October!
