Tom Hanks proves again just how awesome he is.

As you may have heard, the Oscar winner officiated Allison Williams' wedding a little over a week ago.

And now Hanks is confirming the happy news.

"I studied the divinity. I studied as a minister for nearly $35," Hanks told E! News yesterday while he was promoting his new Steven Spielberg-directed drama, Bridge of Spies. "Out of that I have a certificate that makes me available for weddings."

Too sweet!

Williams married longtime boyfriend, CollegeHumor co-founder Ricky Van Veen, on a ranch out West on Sept. 19.

Katy Perry, John Mayer, Bruce Springsteen, Andy Cohen, Lena Dunham, Jemima Kirke and Mindy Kaling were among the guests. Williams' newsman dad, Brian Williams, walked her down the aisle.

Following their big day, Williams posted two photos from the wedding on Instagram. One showed the couple walking hand-in-hand and the other was of a solo Williams in her gorgeous couture Oscar de la Renta gown.

Williams' rep confirmed her engagement in February 2014. However, the pair put their wedding plans on hold due to what Allison previously described as "a very fully year."

"You sort of think, 'What could possibly come along that would make me not think about this?'" she said this past February during a Q&A with Seth Meyers at 92Y in New York City. "And then I get Peter Pan [Live!] and I think, 'Okay, I will think only about Neverland and then we'll go back to planning our wedding.'"
