Kaley Cuoco is surrounding herself with two of the most important things in her life following her split with Ryan Sweeting: her friends and her animals.

The Big Bang Theory star recently announced her separation from Sweeting after only 21 months of marriage, but she was spotted in good spirits while having dinner with her girlfriends on Saturday.

The 29-year-old was all smiles as she exited The Village in Studio City, Calif. following dinner with her pals. Cuoco wore a flowing, flowery dress and her blonde hair was up in a ponytail. She was also minus her giant engagement ring and wedding band.

While her friends help her take her mind off her split from her husband, Cuoco, an avid animal-lover, is also turning to her pets for comfort.

She recently welcomed a new member to her pet family, a horse named Zara. Cuoco has always loved horseback riding, and owning her own horse had always been a longtime goal for her. On Saturday, she competed at the Flintridge Autumn Classic in La Cañada Flintridge, Calif. in a horse-jumping event.

"I big kiss for miss #nettypie for getting me through my 1st official Gran Prix!!!" she wrote on Instagram. "It's always been a dream of mine, and here we are thanks to this magnificent mare!!"

Cuoco, a huge advocate for rescuing and adopting animals, has also been snuggling up to her dogs and taking them for walks. She was seen on Sunday running around with one of her dogs in the park, dressed casually in a flowing black shirt, shorts and shades.

The TV actress got engaged to the tennis player after only 3 months of dating and they married on New Year's Eve in 2013. Cuoco has removed all photos of her former husband off her Instagram.

"Kaley Cuoco and Ryan Sweeting have mutually decided to end their marriage," Cuoco's rep told us. "They ask for privacy at this time. No further statement will be issued regarding this matter."
