Emmy Rossum and Sam Esmail aren't racing to get married.
Yes, the Shameless star and the Mr. Robot creator are engaged, but it's only been about a month since he popped the question.
Rossum insists they haven't started to plan their wedding. "We're just chilling for a hot second," she told me last night at the launch of Verizon's new mobile video service go90.
It's not like they're not thinking about it though. "I'm not even answering my family who asks me," Rossum said, adding, "I know everything. I'm just not sharing it…I'm honestly just chilling and enjoying it for now."
Rossum did give me a good look at her gorgeous engagement ring.
"It's beautiful," she said. "It's from the 1930s. He did a good job."
He certainly did.
The couple got engaged in late August after two years of dating.
"Best news I've received all year: @emmyrossum said yes," Esmail tweeted on Aug. 31. "Pretty sure nothing will top it."
The two first met when Esmail directed Rossum alongside Justin Long in the 2014 film Comet.
Rossum is an animal rights activist who works closely with Best Friends Animal Society and No Kill Los Angeles. She revealed last night that she's enrolled her most recent dog adoptee, Pepper, in a "training camp" because she's been chewing on and destroying her pillowcases.
