GQNicki Minaj and Meek Mill are one of those couples that look hot no matter what they're doing, and it's clear the attraction to each other goes above and beyond anything the public even sees.
Case in point? When asked to answer her favorite thing about her fiancé, the female emcee couldn't help but admit, "My favorite thing about Meek is kissing him. I love the way his lips feel."
Minaj opened up about their relationship on the set of their first ever shoot together—a super sexy spread for GQ that depicts the couple's ritzy lifestyle in the public eye.
One photo shows them being hounded by the paparazzi while another shows them counting hundred-dollar bills in the back of a limo. An even sexier snap shows Minaj mounting Meek and showing off her famous derriere while they party at a club.
However, despite how it may appear to the public (and in these photos), Minaj also told the magazine they really aren't all that different from everyone else. "We're just like any other couple in the hood," she says. "The only thing that makes it un-normal is that we're both successful artists, and that's probably not normal. But other than that, our feelings are very normal."
Well, except for the speed at which their relationship has moved—you know, getting engaged just two months after they first started dating. In fact, the whirlwind relationship was a big cause of concern for her mother.
"My mother only knows Meek from what she sees in public, in the media," the rapper explains. "She's met him now, but she just wants to make sure he's a nice guy. She's overprotective of her daughter.
She continues, "Another thing people don't realize is I've only had three boyfriends in my whole life. I've never dated around… I don't have a whole lot of experience in that department so my mother and my family were very like, 'What? This is a big step,' because they've only known one thing for over a decade," she explains, referring to her ex-boyfriend Safaree Samuels, who she dated for 15 years. "I think it's only natural for a mother to just, you know, she just wanted to make sure I wasn't rushing into anything."
That's a big misconception the world seemed to have about Minaj and Meek, that they were rushing into getting engaged.
"I think one of the biggest misconceptions at the beginning was that people thought that me and him just popped up out of the blue and were just in a relationship," Minaj reveals. "We were friends for a very long time and he was someone that I was able to really confide in. Nothing that we do is for TV."
Meek reciprocated the sentiment, adding, "I've never been known for stunts in public that make me look better, you know what I'm saying?"
