The 37-year-old Guardians of the Galaxy star distracted her and hubby Marco Perego's 8-month-old twin boys Bowie and Cy from the terror that is teething with the help of a homemade pirate ship.
Zoe posted photos to Facebook showing her playing with her adorable sons. "...it is amazing what an empty cardboard box, a broom stick, and a whole lot of imagination can do to children," she wrote. "Marco was so brilliant in making this 'Pirate' Boat. The boys loved. As soon as we put them in the box they went bananas! We took turns in dragging that thing everywhere....both boys in it."
As mom noted, Bowie and Cy "are teething badly lately" which "means that the tantrum level is at it's highest." No doubt, though, that a ride aboard their own personal pirate ship made smile (and momentarily forget about those choppers coming in)!
"We like to believe they appreciated the effort," wrote Zoe, "and we appreciated their joy. #playtime #twins #sunday is #funday"
For Zoe, a day spent with all three of her boys is perfection. "Since I've been with Marco, I've been lowering my guard," she told InStyle's July 2015 issue. "Finally when we had our boys I looked at my husband and I realized: I was meant for you and you were meant for me. I've always felt comfortable around men as long as they were friends. Now I finally feel comfortable with my lover. I don't want to be separate. I want my church. I want to live inside the religion of our own little family."
We can't say we blame her—playing with that pirate boat really does look like fun!
