Jane Krakowski has some very famous friends, and she also auditioned to be on a very famous show: Friends.

The Emmy nominee for Netflix's Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt revealed she was up for the role of Rachel Green, you know Jennifer Aniston's star-making role, on the hit NBC comedy.

"Well, I, like almost every actor auditioned for Friends," Krakowski told Giuliana Rancic. "I wish I had gotten that one…I didn't go very far."

Krakowski said she's not even sure she got a callback for the gig. "My business manager is very sad that I didn't."

But Krakowski went on to Ally McBeal and eventually she met Tina Fey and Robert Carlock who put her in 30 Rock as Jenna Maroney, the over-the-top (and borderline sociopath) actress. After 30 Rock, Fey and Carlock put her in Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt as Jacqueline Voorhees, another very absurd character. So…has she asked what the deal is with the casting? "I don't want to know the answer," she said. "I don't know what good luck was bestowed on me when I met Tina Fey and Robert Carlock."

Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt season two is in production now. Check out some other famous faces who were up for several big roles in the gallery below.
