While the deflategate scandal appears to be over (for now), there's still buzz surrounding Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen's marriage.
While sources assure to E! News that the couple is not headed for divorce and doing just fine, the rumors about the relationship being on the rocks is something fellow NFL stud Victor Cruz can somewhat understand.
"I can completely relate to them. Obviously everyone goes through their ups and downs and goes through their fights," Cruz told E! News exclusively while supporting the NFL "Success Beyond the Game" campaign and wearing a Hugo Boss suit. "[The rumors] happen and it's something you have to be thick-skinned about and something you have to understand to keep your family tight knit."
He continued, "[The kids] are going to be hearing things from left and right. But as long as at home you tell them what the truth is and how you handle that within your household is essential to having a family that is tight and won't let anything get in the way of what they built and won't let anything get in the way of the morals and things Tom and Gisele has instilled in their children and instilled in themselves cause things are going to happen."
Cruz, who is the face of Hugo Boss including the male fragrance classic Boss Bottled, found himself injured last year while playing the game he loves so much. With all the ups and downs he experienced physically and emotionally, his relationship with fiancé Elaina Watley began to face some hurdles.
"It went through ups and downs and battles and you fight back because you know that love is there and you fight through it and make it out the other end," he explained. "It's about how you run your household and making sure it stays tight."
Today, Cruz is hard at work planning his wedding that will take place next summer in New York City. His groom party consists of NBA player J.R. Smith and six other close friends.
In regards to what he's wearing for the special ceremony, Cruz has narrowed his choices down to designs from Tom Ford, Public School or Neil Barrett. When it comes to the entertainment for the star-studded night, however, the groom-to-be has a bit more planning to do.
"Elaina made it very clear to me that she either wants Miguel, John Legend or Musiq Soulchild so I have to rack my brain on how to reach out to the one she really wants," he explained. "Out of those three, I would choose Miguel, but if I had to really decide it would be The Weeknd performing at my wedding."
