Watch: Caitlyn Jenner's Official Name Change Celebration

Caitlyn Jenner's name-changing ceremony was an emotional one, understandably, but the celebration wasn't all about the former Olympian.

In the latest I Am Cait preview, the 65-year-old opens up about why she chose to have a big event surrounded by her closest friends in order to welcome her new moniker.

"Outside right now, they are setting up for my name change. All of the girls, all of my little tribe, have told me that they never really celebrated their name change. They just kind of went through it," Caitlyn explained.

"So, it's not just for me. Really, it's about all of them."

In an earlier episode on the hit series, Caitlyn meets with her gal-pal Drian Juarez, a representative from the Los Angeles LGBT Center, over to her house to discuss the process of legally changing her name and gender.

"You have to go through the court-ordered process, which has been streamlined a bit," Drian is seen telling Caitlyn.

"Before you had to have gender-confirmation surgery before you could change your gender marker. There was advocacy done to change that and now you just have to have clinically-appropriate treatment to change your gender marker."

Caitlyn then tells the camera, "After hearing all the struggles people go through because they don't have the proper documentation, I realized that I should be a little bit more aggressive in dealing with this issue of my identity. I think it's time to get that process started."
