Is there anything Ellen DeGeneres and Jimmy Fallon can't do?

The veteran television show hosts faced off Wednesday night in a lip-sync battle fit for the history books. Who better to judge a battle as epic as this  than pop icon Justin Timberlake?

"I can't wait to judge you," Timberlake confessed as he drank out of a mug with Fallon's face on it.

Fallon warmed up with an emotional interpretation of The Killers' "Mr. Brightside," complete with mic stand-grabbing and head thrusting. DeGeneres followed with some classic Diana Ross, sitting cross-legged on the Tonight Show stage to sing the disco maven's mellow hit "Do You Know Where You're Going To?" The performance was truly "easy, breezy, and beautiful" as the CoverGirl spokeswoman smized for the camera.

The battle got feistier when Fallon took off his suit jacket, rolled up his sleeves, and got into position for his next song choice, which he dubbed "a pop culture phenomenon." As the chart-topper "Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae)" by Silento blared through the studio speakers, Fallon didn't miss a beat as he broke out into the standard choreography, finishing off with a stanky leg rehearsed to perfection. Jennifer Lopez, we found your next backup dancer!

"I always said I'm too old to whip, but never too old to nae-nae," Fallon told the crowd as he faked a limp off stage.

Little did Fallon know, DeGeneres wasn't going to be upstaged that easily.

"This song is a business transaction I believe that happens," the talk show host teased the audience. "Someone loans someone some cash and either they forgot that they borrowed it or they don't want to pay it back," The crowd roared when it became clear the next song up was, in fact, "Bitch Better Have My Money" by Rihanna.

While Fallon may have proven himself as Silento's next back-up dancer, DeGeneres' raw attitude won her the crown. As DeGeneres may have remembered from her stint as an American Idol judge, song choice really is everything.
