Time flies!
Jessica Simpson made her first appearance on NBC's The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon Tuesday, and she and Jimmy Fallon had a lot of catching up to do since she last saw him in 2010 when he hosted NBC's Late Night. Before getting down to business and discussing Jessica's successful fashion line, the late-night TV host asked about Maxwell Johnson and Ace Johnson, Simpson's two kids with Eric Johnson. "They look like their daddy! They're too much," Jessica said of her oft-Instagrammed children. "They're the best."
Regarding her back-to-back pregnancies that lasted from 2011 to 2013, the singer laughed and said, "I did it really quick and sudden. It was very shocking. Now that they're 2 and 3, it's unbelievable."
"What do I have to look forward to?" asked Jimmy, a father of two.
"Pooping in the grass and not a diaper," Jessica warned. "Just popping a squat."
"Me or the baby?" Jimmy joked. "Again, I don't drink anymore. That's the old me!"
On a serious note, Jessica said, "You can guard your phone. They're better at technology than I am—not that I'm ever good at it, but they take over people's phones and somehow find the pictures not to post."
Jessica added that she has "very smart children. They're already networking."
The "I Wanna Love You Forever" singer revealed that her firstborn daughter recently took up horseback riding. "She just started lessons. She's 3 years old and she's completely fearless...She just wants to go faster, and faster and faster. We just want to keep it at a trot. I don't even know if that's legal for a 3-year-old. But she is wearing her first heels, which is very impressive. She's like, 'Like mama!'" she said. "But I won't get on the horse. It's a huge fear. I'm from Texas! Everyone thinks I ride a horse but I don't."
Jimmy then showed a picture of Jessica jet skiing with her husband. "I'm in the middle of the ocean, so that frightens me. I'm completely afraid of sharks. Apparently I have an issue with animals, apparently," Jessica said with a laugh. "But I can own a jet ski. Oh, yeah! I can throw anyone off!" Jimmy admitted that he couldn't believe that Simpson was "actually wearing heels on a jet ski," to which she explained, "I never take off the heel. I get more grip with them!"
Jimmy argued, "You can't jet ski with your heels!"
Jessica laughed, saying, "I mean, when you have your own brand, why not?"
