Today marks the one-year anniversary of Joan Rivers' tragic passing, and the tributes are pouring in for the legendary comedienne.

Daughter Melissa Rivers posted a touching message for Joan on the late star's Twitter page and admits life's "been difficult" since she lost her mom.

"Today marks one year since my mother passed. This was the year of firsts: first holidays, first birthdays, first everythings without mom, without grandma," the 47-year-old star, whose 14-year-old son Cooper was incredibly close to his grandmother, wrote.

"While it's been difficult," she continued, "I've been amazed by the outpouring of love and overwhelming kindness we've received from family, friends, and people whose lives were touched by the woman they knew as Joan -- a woman we all miss so very much."

The comic legend died on Sept. 4, 2014 at the age of 81 after being taken off life support following complications from a throat operation in New York City on Aug. 28.

Most recently, Melissa Rivers revealed that she and son Cooper scattered some of Joan's ashes during their annual family trip to Wyoming last month.

"[It was the first one] without my mom, and we scattered some of her ashes there so we can still be together every August as a family," she explained to Entertainment Tonight

She also touched on her mother's legacy before admitting she's "kind of a disaster this week" due to the emotional anniversary.

"Cooper and I talk a lot about what would be the best way to honor her legacy," she said. "And the best way to honor her legacy is to be OK."
