The Voice is ready to get its freak on.

E! News can exclusively reveal that Missy Elliott will serve as the adviser for Pharrell Williams' team when the NBC reality returns for its ninth season on Sept. 21. And we also have your exclusive first look at Missy and Pharrell workin' it together in rehearsals for the battle rounds, and we've never wished we had musical abilities more.

The hip hop superstar made a major comeback in 2014 when she took the stage with Katy Perry during the Super Bowl halftime show for a supa dupa fly performance. (Sorry Left Shark!) Back in April, Pharrell confirmed on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon that he is working with Missy on her new album.

Glad to see their collaboration is going well!

In previous seasons, Pharrell had recruited Lionel Richie and Alicia Keys as his advisers.

As for the rest of season nine's guest advisers, Selena Gomez is set to mentor returning coach Gwen Stefani's team and Blake Shelton has recruited fellow country crooner Brad Paisley, while Adam Levine has tasked John Fogerty with mentoring his contestants.

And if that's not enough star power for you, Rihanna is set to be the key adviser for all of the contestants, a role previously filled by Taylor Swift and Nate Reuss. "This is one of music's true supervisors coming on board to influence the lives and careers of the performers," NBC boss Bob Greenblatt said of Rihanna joining the show.

To exclusively go inside Missy and Pharrell's rehearsals for The Voice, make sure to tune into E! News tonight at 7 p.m. and 11 p.m.!

The Voice returns to NBC on Monday, Sept. 21.

(E! and NBC are both part of the NBCUniversal family.)
