At long last, Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux are married!

The happy couple has been engaged since August 2012, when Theroux proposed to his now-wife on his birthday. But the duo waited until just before his birthday (again!) to tie the knot in a top-secret ceremony. They have always referred to each other in the most darling of ways since falling in love—Aniston often calls him her "beloved"—and E! News can reveal just what makes them work so well.

A source close to the couple tells us that their similarities help them find a common ground.

"They live similar lives. They go their own ways but then meet back again and it works very well for them," the insider tells us. "They seem to enjoy their time apart and then spending time to back together again," source said.

Although Theroux now stars in HBO's drama, The Leftovers, it's his comedic side that brought the two together. After becoming close on the comedy Wanderlust, Aniston just couldn't get enough of Theroux's humor.

"Justin has a wonderful sense of humor, and that is big in making a relationship work and a marriage," the source adds.

A separate source also told us that "Justin knew she was the one from the start. He was tickled to death when they first started dating. They fell deeply in love very fast."

Even though both Aniston and Theroux are celebrities in their own right, there's no denying Aniston's powerhouse, A-list status. With a résumé that includes Golden Globe nominated-shows and movies such as Friends and Cake, and the fact that she's one of America's sweethearts, Aniston brings a heck of a lot of fame to the table. Fortunately, none of that matters to her husband.

"He accommodates to her fame and accepts her notoriety with grace," the insider explains. "He loves her for who she is, not what she has and that is a good thing."

As E! News previously reported, Aniston and Theroux got married Wednesday in an intimate ceremony at the couple's estate. The 46-year-old actress and her 43-year-old hubby had their backyard set up with large tables and seat-cushion style chairs. A tent was also hitched on the property, presumably so the couple could say "I do" in secret. Wood flooring was also placed on the grass so that attendees could dance the night away.

Jen, whose makeup was done by Angela Levin, and her guests weren't the only ones to receive A-list treatment, as we're told her dogs received a glam squad of their own courtesy of Spa Dog!

Congratulations again to the happy couple!
