It was the board game that haunted your nightmares, and now it's coming back to the big screen! No, we're not talking about Ouija boards—it's Jumanji!

Sony Pictures released titles and release dates of its forthcoming movie, and the Robin Williams-starring classic, Jumanji, is set to hit the big screen once again come Christmas 2016, per Variety. Let's just say what we're all thinking—Christmas is coming early!

The original movie, based on Chris Van Allsburg's book of the same name, was released 20 years ago, so we're due for a reboot. (Can you believe it has been that long since Williams popped out of the game board in a full beard and Tarzan-like loincloth?). The original cast included Bonnie Hunt and a young Kirsten Dunst in addition to late Williams and also featured some serious computer-animated animal stampedes, which will probably receive a massive update in the new version. One thing is for certain, Williams will be very missed.

Although Sony revealed it would enter theaters Dec. 25, 2016, no other details have emerged regarding casting or plot changes, if any. Even though Jumanji is probably the most exciting news to come out of Sony's announcement, the studio also revealed other forthcoming projects, including the highly anticipated Ghostbusters!

Not only is Will Smith's Bad Boys franchise getting a third installment come Feb. 17, 2017, it's also getting a fourth film! Bad Boys 4 is set to hit the silver screen on July 3, 2019, so we can already prepare ourselves for a Fourth of July blockbuster. It's unknown whether Martin Lawrence and Smith will be reprising their roles.
