Fear The Walking Dead and The Walking Dead are set in the same universe, but at different times, so producers have said there won't be a crossover. "Never say never, but there are no plans right now," executive producer Dave Erickson once said about a crossover. "The geography is an obstacle, and frankly somewhere down the road it will become an even greater obstacle."

WELL GUESS WHAT? They lied. Sort of, but not really. There was a crossover...It just happened where only cell phone cameras could capture it. See the photo below.

Look at them all clean and happy. No zombies in sight. Any way we get these goobers smiling is fine by us. But now we're thinking about what a team up between Kim Dickens' Madison and Norman Reedus' Daryl and Danai Gurira's Michonne would like. Because let's be real, Madison is probably going to be your new favorite character. Dickens kicked butt in Gone Girl. We rooted for her in House of Cards and in the Fear The Walking Dead trailer she whips out a shotgun. You go, girl.

The prequel series is set at the start of the zombie apocalypse. We'll probably never know what caused people to, well, die and then become undead, but viewers will see how society crumbled to the point where we're at in The Walking Dead. Sounds fun, huh?

Fear The Walking Dead kicks off on Sunday, Aug. 23, at 9 p.m. on AMC. It's already been renewed for a second season.
