Because you demanded it: A live exorcism will be performed on TV. Oh, you didn't demand that? Of course.

Well, anyway, Destination America said its making TV history with Exorcism: Live!, a new special on Friday, Oct. 30, which, according to the network, will feature the first live television exorcism in US history.

The special will revisit the story and house that inspired The Exorcist just in time for the 66th anniversary of the original events. The show will go to the suburbs of St. Louis where Roland Doe performed the ritual in 1949.

"No one has ever attempted to rid the lurking spirits and demons that inhabit this home, until now," the network said in a release. Insert your own DUN DUN DUNNNNN here.

The cast of Destination America's Ghost Asylum, the Tennessee Wraith Chasers and medium Chip Coffey will explore the home from top to bottom with state of the art technology and both daytime and nighttime investigations. Additional cameras will be set up around the house and available to view at DestinationAmerica.com.

"As we step into one of the most haunted and well-known spirit destinations in America, Exorcism: Live! will show exactly what is inside this infamous, highly dangerous and possessed home." Marc Etkind, general manager of Destination America, said in a statement. "By actually exorcising this iconic house live, Destination America will do what it does best -- bringing never before seen experiences to television."

Exorcism: Live! airs Friday, Oct. 30 at 9 p.m. on Destination America.
