This might be the worst summer of Ben Affleck's life.

In late June, the actor and Jennifer Garner made the difficult decision to end their 10-year marriage and jointly announced plans to divorce. Today, a tabloid falsely accused Ben of dating one of their kids' former nannies, Christine Ouzounian. After Us Weekly's issue hit newsstands, the Argo director's rep told E! News that the alleged romance "story is not true," explaining, "It's tabloid journalism hiding behind blind sources. It's a shameful ploy to stay relevant for the magazine."

Us Weekly ran with its cover story citing multiple insiders. "All allegations of a romantic relationship are baseless and untrue," the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice star's rep told the tabloid. Us Weekly could not reach Christine for comment.

"We are considering legal options," Ben's rep said Wednesday.

What's more, a source assures E! News that Ben "is absolutely not dating anyone."

"Ben's focus has been on his family and his work—with family coming first," the source says of the devoted father of three. "Dating is not his focus and it hasn't been his focus throughout the separation period." Similarly, Jennifer is single and focused on her family and her upcoming movie, Miracles From Heaven.

While Christine no longer works for the couple, the source says, "There is nothing physical or romantic between Ben and Christine." Additionally, despite insinuations to the contrary, "Ben is super friendly and sometimes that is misconstrued."

Ben and Jennifer  decided to divorce after a trial separation. Fortunately, the Daredevil co-stars have remained amicable post-split for the sake of daughters Violet Affleck, 9, and Seraphina Affleck, 6, and son Samuel Affleck, 3.

Ben and Jennifer announced their breakup last month.

"After much thought and careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to divorce. We go forward with love and friendship for one another and a commitment to co-parenting our children whose privacy we ask to be respected during this difficult time," the exes told E! News in a joint statement. "This will be our only comment on this private, family matter. Thank you for understanding."
