Have mercy! One set of twins is set to return to the world of Full House, but not the pair you're expecting. Blake Tuomy-Wilhoit and Dylan Tuomy-Wilhoit will reprise their Full House roles for Netflix's Fuller House, they revealed on Instagram. Blake will return to the role of Nicky and Dylan is once again Alex.
On Instagram, Blake shared a photo of his script with the simple caption: "It's Nicky time." Dylan also took to the social media platform to share a photo of his script and simply said, "What?" with a winky emoji. The twins also signed TV mom Lori Loughlin's birthday card.
Now we're just waiting for the Katsopolis family picture to make it official. John Stamos, get on that!
The 24-year-old twins have gone two different routes in life. Dylan has gone on to work on Black Sails, Game of Thrones and Furious 7 as a foley artist in the sound department—he was nominated for an Emmy for his work on Game of Thrones. Blake is a firefighter. Both stopped acting after Full House...that is until Fuller House came calling.
The spinoff series following Candace Cameron Bure's character DJ Tanner-Fuller will host a reunion and feature guest appearances from the original cast. The new series picks up with a newly widowed DJ enlisting her sister Stephanie (Jodie Sweetin) and best friend Kimmy Gibbler (Andrea Barber) to help her raise her kids. Stamos is executive producing the show and will make appearances. Loughlin, Bob Saget, Scott Weinger (Steve lives!) and Dave Coulier are all signed on for the big reunion show. Missing from the line-up? Mary-Kate Olsen and Ashley Olsen. The actresses-turned-fashion moguls decided not to participate in the revival.
"Although Ashley and Mary-Kate will not be a part of Fuller House, I know how much Full House has meant to them and they are still very much considered family," executive producer Robert L. Boyett said in a May 2015 statement about Mary-Kate and Ashley's absence from the reunion. "It has been exciting to see how they have built their professional careers, and I support their choice to focus on their fashion brands and various business endeavors. I appreciate their support and good wishes towards Fuller House."
But at Netflix's TCA executive session, Ted Sarandos said you may not want to count the Olsens out completely just yet. "The Olsen twins are teetering on whether or not they'll be around," Sarandos told reporters. "We've been able to reassemble all of the cast."
We need some Michelle Tanner. Just saying.
"It's a show that is very much in the spirit of the original," Sarandos said of the new show. "At the taping of the [first] episode this past week, when the cast shows up on stage the audience reacts immediately and the actors have fallen right back into the roles. It's very much in the same spirit but with a modern take on Full House."
