Sure, a lot of people have said that before. They said it when you compared Mexican immigrants to rapists. They said it when he called Hillary Clinton "desperate and sad." They even said it way back in 2012 when you were pretending to consider running for president.
But now we, America, really mean it. We really, really mean it.
Over the weekend, The Donald decided to take a little shot at John McCain. And it's not the target of his remarks that's the problem, it's what he said. In short, he said that the Senator isn't a war hero. "He's a war hero because he was captured," said Trump during a campaign event. "I like people who weren't captured." There are literally no words, right?
But it turns out that there are words. There are many words, and none of them are positive. In a very not surprising turn of events, Trump's comments ruffled a whole lot of feathers. People everywhere took to Twitter to voice their anger at his insensitivities, his idiocy and his blatant disregard for basically anyone else on the planet except himself. j
Many Tweeters also are fed up at a campaign that can now only be described as a circus. There's clearly no connection to reality when you have a candidate who so widely offends, and it's all getting to be just a bit too much to handle. It seems there's a sizable portion of the population who are torn between wanting to ignore this craziness completely, and feeling so angry that they just can't keep their thoughts to themselves.
