Stance SocksSorry Rob Kardashian, there's a new sock line in town and it has Bad Gal written all over it (literally!).
Rihanna has partnered with Stance Socks to release a limited edition collection of chic knee-high and crewneck foot designs, cheekily titled "Murder Rih Wrote." With a kitchy black-white-and-red pattern featuring newspaper typography and horror movie poster-inspired images, the socks are, well, very RiRi. Stance plans to release 18 styles from Rihanna's collection in September, with a subsequent holiday line to be unveiled in November.
"I know a lot of people are probably saying ‘Why socks?' And that's really the beauty of it," Candy Harris, a VP for the Stance, told Vogue. "[That's] why Rihanna's perfect, because she's constantly innovating and looking to see what's next. Socks are not really a trend; they're a fashion staple." (We'd have to agree!)
The "Bitch Better Have My Money" singer, meanwhile, has been unleashing her unique fashion sense on the streets of New York City in recent weeks, stepping out in ultra-short denim, printed shift dresses, oversized sweatshirts and graphic minis. And Rihanna, who's been wearing her hair red since a video shoot in April, seems to have embraced a sky-high, curls-piled-on-curls hairstyle—although she sometimes opts for long, sleek waves (both styles look pretty cool, if you ask us).
RiRi, by the way, isn't the only celeb taking the sock game by storm: Rob obviously has a stronghold on the industry, along with Jessica Alba's husband Cash Warren. Snoop Dogg, Dwyane Wade and Santigold all boast signature sock lines too.
