For many, Comic-Con is like Christmas—but not for Jesse Eisenberg

The 31-year-old actor attended the annual San Diego convention over the weekend to promote the forthcoming film Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, in which he plays Lex Luther and stars alongside Ben Affleck (Batman) and Henry Cavill (Superman).

On Monday, at the premiere for his upcoming movie The End of the Tour, which also stars Jason Segel, the Social Network star was asked about his experience at SDCC—and his response is quite shocking.

"It is like being screamed at by thousands of people," he said of Comic-Con. "I don't know what the experience is throughout history, probably some kind of genocide. I can't think of anything that's equivalent."

While his answer is undoubtedly eyebrow-raising, it wasn't the only diss Eisenberg dropped during the interview. He also opened up about the upcoming James Ponsoldt-directed flick, in which he plays journalist David Lipsky, and he couldn't help but take a jab at journalists and the media.

"Yes I have never been on the other side, on your side of journalism. I have normally been the victim..." he said before revealing how he prepared for the role. "I interviewed him. He taught me how to interview and what his process is like and now I understand the pariahs that you guys are."
