While Donald Trump's persistence in excoriating illegal immigrants and the Mexican government has made for some entertaining headlines, Hillary Clinton is over it.

"Para el Señor Trump, solo tengo una palabra," Clinton's account tweeted today, translation, "I have one word for Mr. Trump."

And that word is: "¡Basta!" or "Enough!"

Clinton, whom Trump last week called the "worst Secretary of State in the history of the United States," sent the tweet out as she joined her fellow Democratic presidential candidates in addressing the National Council of La Raza—which advocates for progressive immigration policies—in St. Louis, Mo.

But it turned out she had a few more words about Trump and his comments, which included his now infamous generalization that most immigrants crossing illegally into the U.S. from Mexico are "bringing drugs," "bringing crime" and "are rapists," plus the many things he's said and tweeted in support of his own remarks since.

"I have just one word for Mr. Trump—Basta! Enough!" Clinton sounded the message of the day. "And to all the other Republicans running for president, why did it take weeks for most of you to speak out? The sad truth is even if some of the other candidates now condemn those words if you look at many of their policies, it's hard to tell the difference."

Rep. Bernie Sanders of Vermont spoke first at the event, and he slammed Trump for "throwing slurs."

"We have come a long, long way to overcome racism," Sanders, whose father emigrated to the U.S. from Poland, said. "We've elected the first African-American president. For a major candidate of the U.S. to be throwing slurs at one group of people because of the country they came from is totally unacceptable."

While previous comments indicate that he's no big fan of Clinton's, Australian media mogul Rupert Murdoch also had a few choice words for Trump yesterday, too, however.

"Trump popularity based on frustration with DC and endless regulations over people's lives," the News Corp. chairman tweeted Sunday. "Thought this was Rand Paul's issue. He added, "Mexican immigrants, as with all immigrants, have much lower crime rates than native born. Eg El Paso safest city in U.S. Trump wrong."

And presumably because skeptics were crying for proof, Murdoch tweeted today, "ElPaso safest city in U.S. with over 500,000 population in 2010,11,,12 and 13. Figures to come for 2014."
