Ben Affleck Steps Out With Wedding Ring on Post-Split, Poses With Fans During Daddy-Daughter Museum Date in Atlanta

Actor seems to be in good spirits while out and about with Violet in Georgia

Let's try not to make this into something it's not and create a bunch of false hope here (key word being try, because we're still not over it). 

Ben Affleck stepped out earlier today with one very noticeable piece of jewelry on his hand—his wedding ring—a little over a week after announcing that he and wife of 10 years Jennifer Garner have decided to file for divorce. Sigh.

The actor also donned some metallic flash tattoos on his arm (LOL) and a fresh haircut while out and about in Atlanta. Affleck, who was dressed casually in jeans and a T-shirt, was off on a museum date with his 9-year-old daughter Violet.

The doting father took his eldest child on an educational field trip to the Atlanta Cyclorama and Civil War Museum and the Center for Civil and Human Rights, where the two not only gained some knowledge on history, but also spent some quality time together.

And despite this being a tough time for the star, Affleck seemed to put on a good face and appeared to be in positive spirits as he stopped and posed for photos with fans!

The outing comes on the heels of the clan taking a family trip to the Bahamas, and while we're sure they had the best time they could given the circumstances, photos show that there was definitely some tension.

Ben and Jen have been good at keeping things cordial for their children, but a picture of the former couple during their getaway shows the tense emotions shared between them. Sitting next to each other on a set of steps, Affleck and Garner look tense as they seem to be having an intense discussion that results in both of them looking away from each other.

Even though the family has been going to this particular "private and special location" for years, the trip was short-lived, as both parents had to be back in the U.S. for work. Affleck left July 3 to be in California for San Diego's Comic-Con with his Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice co-stars, while the Alias alum departed July 5 for Atlanta to film Miracles From Heaven.

The Argo star was then spotted jet setting to Atlanta to be with her, and E! News has learned that the 42-year-old actor is living in a guesthouse on Garner's, 43, rental property in the southern city.
