RAAK/AKM-GSIAs stoic as she is, everything has not just bounced back to normal for Kourtney Kardashian in the wake of her split from Scott Disick after roughly nine years together.
The mother of three is sticking close to her family and is putting on a brave face but, in actuality, is doing "not so good," a source tells E! News.
And who can blame her? Kourtney finally called it off with Scott just days ago after his partying got to be too much for her to take. Photos that popped up of him looking cozy with an ex-girlfriend in Monte Carlo seemingly proved to be the final straw and her fam has since rallied around her.
Khloé Kardashian, ever the social media philosophizer, offered up these words via Twitter that we refuse to believe are coincidental: "Everyone has their own journey to the pursuit of happiness."
And may her big sis Kourtney have already survived the biggest bump on that road.
Scott, meanwhile, has since returned to the States and we've heard that he was partying in Miami—at least as of yesterday.
He's not, for all intents and purposes, in Los Angeles and has "basically stopped communicating with everyone," prompting those close to him to fear that he's "gone off the deep end."
Scott spent time in a Costa Rican rehab facility in March and, though he left after a few weeks, a source told E! News at the time that he was expected to return to treatment soon as part of his "ongoing therapy."
And Kourtney, who posted a couple of pics over the weekend celebrating the Fourth of July with daughter Penelope in what at least looked like an idyllic setting, had put up with the instability for as long as she could.
"Kourtney has always taken Scott back and been by his side, but now with three kids it has gotten old," an insider told us yesterday. "Kourtney has to do what's best for the kids."
"Scott has been running around saying he's single," added a source. "Kourtney dumped him after she saw the pics [in Monte Carlo] and he hasn't been home after a month-long party binge."
