InstagramRachel Truehart has found her happily ever after!
The Bachelor and Bachelor Pad alumna had quite the special Fourth of July when her boyfriend Ronnie Lustberg popped the important engagement question.
"He proposed in Central Park on the Great Lawn," Truehart shared with E! News exclusively. "He had a burlap picnic basket set up with flowers and champagne and a blackboard that read, ‘Will you marry me?'"
She continued, "What's so funny is that when I saw it, I said to him, ‘Babe, we better leave. It looks like someone's getting engaged.'"
So yes, she was more than just a little surprised to find out the celebration was just for her.
"He had my parents come and meet us after," Truehart shared. "It took a while to sink it. It felt so surreal."
Fans may know the blond beauty from season 16 when she competed for Ben Flajnik's heart. She also was a finalist in Bachelor Pad's third season. Since the shows wrapped up, Truehart has found great success as a photo shoot producer for Ralph Lauren. Meanwhile, her fiancé is in sales.
Putting busy work schedules aside, the couple isn't quite sure when they will have their dream wedding. If it was up to Truehart, however, the first steps could happen sooner rather than later.
"Everyone's telling us to hold off on planning and enjoy this part of it, but it's hard," she shared. "I want to start planning it right away!"
She added, "I'm obsessed with the Fourth of July. It's my favorite holiday. So it was extra special and really sweet." Awww!
