InstagramBristol Palin is firing back at her haters who "mock" and "judge" her over her new pregnancy, saying she had planned on having another child.
The 24-year-old, a single mother and advocate for abstinence, had announced on Thursday that she is pregnant with her second child. Many mocked Bristol online over the news, which came a month after she called off her wedding to Dakota Meyer. When she was 17, she and her family were also ridiculed by many after her pregnancy with son Tripp was announced during mother and Republican leader Sarah Palin's 2008 vice presidential campaign.
"Here are the things you should all get straight before you continue to mock me, judge me, and talk about me," Bristol wrote on her Patheos blog on Sunday in a post titled "My Little Blessing," which was accompanied by an ultrasound photo of her baby.
"None of us are perfect," she said. "I made a mistake, but it's not the mistake all these giddy a$$holes have loved to assume. This pregnancy was actually planned."
Meyer has not commented about Bristol's pregnancy. Since she revealed the news, he shared on his Facebook page a post about international violence and informed his followers that he was headed on a mini vacation with friends.
Bristol said in her blog post that she always wanted to have more children.
"Believing I was heading that way, I got ahead of myself," she said. "Things didn't go as planned, but life keeps going. Life moves on."
"But I do not regret this baby," she added. "This baby is not a disappointment, and I cannot wait to be a mom times two. Tripp is going to make the best big brother!!"
On her blog, Bristol also said that she "never even thought of aborting" her new child, "NO MATTER WHAT THE CIRCUMSTANCE." She added that she is and always will be pro-life.
Bristol's son Tripp is 6 years old and she often shares photos of him on her Instagram page.
When she was pregnant with him, her mother said her daughter would marry the child's father, Levi Johnston. They broke up twice and called off their engagement for the last time in 2010.
Johnston, now 25, married Sunny Oglesby in 2012. They have two daughters.
