We'd like to nominate Sandra Bullock for movie star mom of the year.
The Oscar winner made sure that making her new animated sure-to-be-a-hit Minions didn't get in the way of taking care of son Louis.
"They worked around my adult schedule...I got to drop Louis at school, I would continue on to [work] and I would sit in a little black booth by myself and no one else around and a microphone," Bullock told me at the Minions premiere in L.A. "Then they'd let me out just in time to go do the school pick up. They'd always book locations that were in a certain driving distance from Louis' school, which is pretty great."
Not worrying how you look like at work is also a big plus with animated jobs where only your voice is needed.
Bullock admits she came "pretty close" to showing up at the studio in her pajamas. "It was either bad yoga pants or sweatpants with dog hair on them," she said, adding, "Just sad things. Towards the end I kind of stepped up my game a little bit. I wanted to leave them on a good note."
Bullock also revealed that her nighttime social life also is scheduled around her cute little boy.
"I have to do the baby sitting," she said. "If I go anywhere it has to be after he's asleep or there's a lot of questions and a lot of drama."
And no surprise, Louis is pretty much set for life when it comes to Minions swag.
"He's got a couple Minion pieces and they sent over a huge box and I was like, ‘Are you joking me?' I can't give a child this much!'" Bullock said. "So after the movie today I'm going to dole out a little bit and give his little friends that he invited a little something. They're here. They snuck in the side. He doesn't know this is what I do so he just thinks we're going to a fun movie and mama just has to do a little work."
