Charlie Rowe is proving there's no bad blood between him and the newly casted Marvel Spider-Man Tom Holland.

Rowe and Holland were both up for the coveted superhero role and it was announced yesterday that Holland had landed the Spider-Man part. Rowe took to Twitter today to congratulate his pal even though he didn't get the fan favorite role.

"Well done @TomHolland1996 , glad that tom's a mate, pleased for him. I thought I could've made quite a good spiderman," Rowe tweeted Wednesday along with an adorable childhood pic of him dressed as Spider-Man.

Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures announced Tuesday morning that after an exhaustive search, Holland has been named to star as the beloved hero.

"It's a big day here at Sony," Sony Pictures Motion Pictures Group Chairman Tom Rothman said yesterday. "I've worked with a number of up-and-coming directors who have gone on to be superstars and believe that Jon is just such an outstanding talent. For Spidey himself, we saw many terrific young actors, but Tom's screen tests were special. All in all, we are off to a roaring start."

Holland's first film as Peter Parker will land in theaters on July 28, 2017, and will be directed by Jon Watts.
