Empire's breakout star Taraji P. Henson has taken the world by storm with her loud and proud mama bear Cookie Lyon on the Fox hit show, and it sounds like season two is going to be even more exciting for everyone's favorite character...she's getting some more lovin' and this time, it's from one of the hottest guys in the entertainment biz!
While Magic Mike XXL star Adam Rodriguez is about to hit the big screen to show off his sexy moves and impressive abs, he's looking ahead to his new role on Empire season two...as Cookie's love interest. (Can you tell how jealous we are?!)
"I can't wait, I'm so excited," Rodriguez exclusively tells E! News. "I actually just hooked up with some of my writer friends that are on that show the other day and they were like, 'We'd love to tell you everything that's going to happen, but we cannot say a word.'"
When we pushed Rodriguez to give us a little taste about who his character is, he dished some major scoop that has us counting down the days until season two premieres.
"What I know is this: Cookie and I share a similar affliction that we're battling and we sort of bond over that," Rodriguez says. "I manage to save her in a moment and that starts building a bond. I don't know exactly where that's going to go but I'm hoping it goes to some good places. I can't wait to be hanging out with Taraji and have a good time."
