It's only taken about two years, but Josh Hutcherson has finally confirmed he is dating his Escobar: Paradise Lost co-star Claudia Traisac.

The two met while making the movie. "It's pretty good," Hutcherson gushed about their romance last night at the film's Hollywood premiere. "Distance is hard, but we make it work."

Too sweet.

"I'm really happy," Traisac said. "It's really great."

In the movie, Hutcherson plays a surfer from Canada who finds the girl of his dreams (Traisac) while visiting Colombia. Unfortunately, she also happens to be a niece of drug kingpin Pablo Escobar (Benicio Del Toro).

The film is an intense action thriller that has Hutcherson running for his life from Escobar's murderous cartel.

In one scene, the Hunger Games star defends himself with a barrage of double-fisted gun shooting. "That was awesome," Hutcherson said. "I felt so badass. It was really cool."

He didn't feel as badass when his character has to grab a young boy by the throat and yell at him to try and convince him to leave town because his life is also in danger.

"It's intense," Hutcherson said of the emotional scene. "I don't yell at people. I'm not a yeller. I'm very much a pacifist. For me, to be yelling is very uncharted territory."

Also uncharted territory? Del Toro's vocal abilities!

The Oscar winner makes his musical debut in the movie during a scene in which he sings a Spanish language ballad during a family party. "That was my singing, that was my voice," Del Toro told me. "I was nervous. Very nervous."

Escobar: Paradise Lost is in theaters June 26.
