InstagramKim Kardashian just revealed late last night that she and Kanye West are expecting a baby boy, but they've actually known baby No. 2's gender for a while now.
That's right, dolls: A source tells E! News exclusively the Wests have known North West was going to have a baby brother since the very beginning of Kim's pregnancy—and yes, it was challenging keeping it a secret from the public! And while the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star and her rapper hubby would've been happy with another little girl, a source says they feel "beyond blessed" to be having a boy.
Kim, 34, and Kanye, 38, feel like one daughter and one son is the perfect family balance. Plus, a source adds, "Kim is looking forward to seeing Kanye have a mini-me."
It's no secret that Kim and Kanye really wanted to give 2-year-old Nori a sibling, but getting pregnant proved to be more difficult the second time around. "It really has been a long journey for us and we didn't think it was possible," Kim told E! News earlier this month at the 2015 CFDA Fashion Awards. "We are so, so grateful and so thankful. We're like over the moon."
The Wests aren't the only ones looking forward to this new addition, either: Mason Disick, especially, is going to be thrilled! Even before little Reign Disick was born, Mase was urging auntie Kim to have another kid. "He was like, 'Can you make a boy? I need a friend to play with,'" Kim recalled last year during a KIIS FM interview with Ryan Seacrest.
Looks like that wish came true! Don't count on Kim pulling a Kris Jenner and having half a dozen kids, though. "...I'm not going to route my mom did," she said. "She is crazy! When I was giving birth, I looked at her and said, 'I'm going to buy you a medal, you deserve a medal for this, six times–you're crazy.'"
"I don't think I can do more than three, tops," she said, and that number "would be my absolute top, top, tops."
Of course, when Kim and Kanye see how cute Nori is with her baby brother, mom's mind might change. Never say never!
