Funny, we don't remember there being a first witch hunter.

And that's because The Last Witch Hunter, starring Vin Diesel as the immortal titular hero, isn't scheduled to hit theaters until Oct. 23. But according to the movie's leading man, Lionsgate is so psyched about it, a sequel is already in the works—and of course they want Diesel back for No. 2!

"So the studio apparently is so excited by the Last Witch Hunter - The Axe and Cross franchise... that they are already commencing on the next one," Diesel wrote on Facebook. "The first one doesn't hit theaters until October 23rd, yet they want me to commit and already block out time to film it. As always, I love to hear your feedback...

"Kaulder: Are you a good witch... or a bad witch?"

Kaulder being Diesel's character's name, of course.

"#WitchHunterWednesdays," he capped off his post because, sure, why not?!

Michael Caine, Rose Leslie, Elijah Wood and Julia Engelbrecht also star in the film, directed by Brett Eisner and based off of a story conceived by Priest scribe Cory Goodman and written by Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless.

"Your story has no end," Caine's character presciently tells Kaulder in the film's trailer.

Diesel is no stranger to sequels upon sequels, of course—he's on board for the eighth film in the Fast & Furious series, due out April 14, 2017, after the as-expected blockbluster success of Furious 7, and a third xXx film has been rumored to be in the works.

So, what do you think? Does The Last Witch Hunter sound so awesome that you'd like to get excited for the sequel already? Sound off in the comments!
