The Captain America star secretly married his longtime girlfriend Sheletta Chapital back in December, a source confirms to E! News.
According to Page Six, who first broke the news, the 36-year-old actor and his blushing bride tied the knot during a small ceremony at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic six months ago while Mackie was in the country filming Our Brand Is Crisis with co-star Sandra Bullock.
"It was low-key and super-relaxed," a source told Page Six of the ceremony, which included about 150 people. "They had a welcome dinner. We golfed and drank. They went on a honeymoon soon after."
Mackie and Chapital have known each other since they were kids and have two sons together.
While news of the super-private star's marriage is definitely a surprise, there was one clue that should have tipped off fans.
While on a press tour for his film Black or White earlier this year, Mackie was photographed wearing a blingy wedding ring at multiple events. However if you look through all his recent red carpet photos, Mackie cleverly kept his left hand in his pocket most of the time as to not give himself away.
Sly move, Anthony!
